EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The Macalester College men's tennis team played its first dual of 2026, losing at UW-Eau Claire, 7-0 Thursday night at the John and Fay Menard Tennis Center. The Scots are now 0-2 on the season.
Macalester's only victory on the evening came at No. 1 doubles, with
Jordan Doi (Mililani, Hawaii/Mililani) and first year
Charles Flaman (Calgary, Alberta/Rundle College) defeating Pablo Rincon and Danylo Ripeckyj, 6-4. The Blugolds won the other two doubles matches to take the doubles point. Flaman nearly came up with a point at No. 2 singles before falling, 2-6, 6-4, 10-7. UW-Eau Claire won the remaining singles matches in straight sets.
The Scots will play at UW-Stevens Point on Friday, Feb. 6 at Lifetime Fitness in Bloomington, Minn. The non-conference dual begins at 5:30 p.m.
