ST. PAUL, Minn. – Three members of the Macalester College men's basketball team were included on the Division III Academic All-District Team, as selected by the College Sports Communicators. Juniors Ryan Brush (Bellevue, Wash./Bellevue), Noah Shannon (Northfield, Ill./New Trier) and Eric Wentz (Minot, N.D./Minot) all earned Academic All-District honors for the 2024-25 season.

Brush started 20 games for the Scots this season, averaging 10.7 points per game. A biology major, he led the MIAC in three-point shooting percentage (39.1) and three-pointers made (66). This is Brush's second year on the Academic All-District Team.

Shannon makes his debut on the Academic All-District Team this season. He overcame injuries to start 21 games, averaging 12.9 points and a team-best 7.3 rebounds per contest. Shannon, majoring in economics and statistics, also led Macalester in assists with 2.9 per game.

A computer science and statistics double-major, Wentz was named to the All-MIAC team after leading Macalester in scoring with 15.8 points per game. Also a repeat on the Academic All-District Team, he was seventh in the MIAC in scoring and was named the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week twice.

Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher and play in 90 percent or start 66 percent of the team's games to be considered for Academic All-District and All-American accolades.
