CLOQUET, Minn. – The Macalester College women's tennis team played its first match of the 2025 -26 season, losing to UW-Superior, 7-0 in a non-conference dual Saturday afternoon at Cloquet High School.

The Yellowjackets (2-1) opened the dual by winning all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point. In singles, senior Savannah Haugen (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji) and first year Darrian Streater (Redmond, Ore./Redmond Proficiency Academy) both lost their matches in third-set tie-breakers, while senior Elizabeth Trevathan (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Academy) was edged in her match at No. 2 singles, 7-5, 7-6 (7-5).

The Scots will resume their schedule in the spring.
