ORANGE, Calif. – The Macalester College water polo team lost a non-conference game at Chapman University, 15-6 Saturday evening at Allred Aquatics Center. The Scots are now 3-3 on the season, while the Panthers, who are ranked fourth in the latest Division III poll, improve to 6-8.
Chapman took control of the game by scoring seven straight goals over the first 11 minutes. Sophomore
Alana Nadolski (Kentwood, Mich./East Kentwood) put Macalester on the board with a goal with 3:24 left in the second quarter, only to have the Panthers tally two more goals to make the halftime score 9-1. The hosts extended their lead to 11-1 before junior

Pooja Bucklin (Palo Alto, Calif./Henry M. Gunn) registered back-to-back goals to make the score 11-3. After Chapman scored a goal just before the end of the third quarter, Nadolski netted her second goal of the game two minutes into the fourth quarter. Bucklin and sophomore
Lorelei Bell (Encinitas, Calif./San Dieguito Academy) answered a goal by the Panthers, who scored two more goals down the stretch to close out the win.

Macalester, ranked eighth in Division III, wraps up its California trip with a match at Caltech on Tuesday, Mar. 12 at 7:00 p.m. Central in Pasadena, Calif.
