ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College softball team will be traveling to Australia June 10-22, exploring three different cities while playing three games against local teams.

The Scots will land in Brisbane on June 12, where they will learn about Aboriginal culture, take surfing lessons and experience the North Gorge Walk before playing Redlands Softball Club. Next stop is Cairns, where the team will explore the Great Barrier Reef as well as the area's other natural landmarks. The tour ends with three days in Sydney that include sightseeing, a Sydney Harbor cruise, views of the Blue Mountains and a pair of games against local Sydney teams.

The trip to Australia marks the second time in recent years that the softball team has traveled abroad, as the Scots spent nearly two weeks in South Africa during Winter Break of 2017.
