ST. PAUL, Minn. – Macalester College juniors
Tess Bojorquez (San Clemente, Calif./San Clemente) and
Martha Miller (Medford, Wis./Medford), and sophomores
Safiya Butler (St. Louis, Mo./Whitefield School),
Dylan Tapia (Tarzana, Calif./Notre Dame) and
Ally Wolf (Valencia, Calif./Valencia) were named to the Division III Academic All-District team for softball, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced today. Bojorquez and Miller are making their second appearances on the Academic All-District team.
The CSC Academic All-America program honors student-athletes for excellence in both academics and athletics. Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior, have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher and play in 90 percent or start 66 percent of the team's games to be considered for Academic All-District and All-American accolades. Pitchers must have appeared in 17 games or pitched 25 innings.
Bojorquez received All-MIAC honorable mention this spring after having an impact as a pitcher, fielder and batter. She ranked second on the team with a batting average of .373 while posting a 5-4 record with an earned run average of 4.15 in 19 pitching appearances. At the plate, Bojorquez registered a career-best 47 hits to go with 19 runs, two homers and 18 RBIs. She had 14 games with two or more hits, and notched her 100th career hit in the second game against Carleton on April 26. A biology major, Bojorquez also made the MIAC All-Academic team and was named an NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete last year.
Miller earned All-Region and All-MIAC honors after a standout season in the circle and at the plate. She was the Scots' top pitcher this season, posting a record of 12-11 and an ERA of 3.45 in 32 appearances and 29 starts. Miller led the MIAC in games started while ranking second in innings pitched (152) and strikeouts (128). In two seasons at Macalester, she is 23-18 with an ERA of 3.31 and 202 strikeouts in 251 2/3 innings pitched. Miller also contributed at the plate, batting .323 with 43 hits, 23 runs, nine doubles and a team-best 33 runs batted in, which ranked 14th in the MIAC. An economics major, she was an NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete in 2025.
Butler also made the All-Region and All-MIAC teams after batting .423 with 55 hits, 39 runs and 27 stolen bases in 29 attempts. Butler ranked third in the MIAC in stolen bases and ranked seventh in hits and runs. In 10 games during Spring Break at THE Spring Games, she batted .570 (19-for-38) with 14 runs, five RBIs and 10 stolen bases in 11 attempts, earning MIAC Player of the Week honors on Mar. 23. An NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete in 2025, Butler is majoring in Spanish and Arabic.
Tapia had a solid season as the Scots' starting catcher, batting .349 with 45 hits, 19 runs, 10 doubles, three homers and 28 RBIs. She had 13 multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 performance in a win over St. Catherine on April 25. Tapia also hit a grand slam at UW-Eau Claire on Feb. 20. An NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete last year, she is a political science major at Macalester.
The Scots' starter at third base, Wolf batted .359 with 47 hits, 22 runs, a team-best 14 doubles and 26 RBIs. She posted 17 games with at least two hits and had three games with three RBIs, including a pair of doubles and three RBIs against nationally-ranked Simpson on Mar. 20. A psychology major, Wolf also was an NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete in 2025.
