ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been named Scholar All-America teams by the College Swimming Coaches of America Association (CSCAA), the organization announced. A total of 803 teams were honored.
Both teams were recognized as posting Top 10 Team GPAs. The Macalester women's team recorded a 3.73 team grade-point average for the 2022 fall semester to tie for fourth among Division III institutions. The men's team registered a team GPA of 3.69 during the fall, which ranks ninth in Division III.
In order to qualify as a Scholar All-America Team, teams must achieve at least a 3.0 grade point average for the 2022 fall semester. Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
