ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College M Club Hall of Fame added five new members as the Class of 2023 was inducted at the 42nd annual Hall of Fame Banquet on Friday, Oct. 6 in the Alexander G. Hill Ballroom in Kagin Commons. The inductees are Roland Broughton '00 (soccer), Jesse Crandall '01 (Nordic skiing), Karin Halvorson '01 (swimming & diving), Liz Hajek '02 (track & field) and Andrew Jordan Porter '03 (football/track & field).

M Club President Steve Cox '76 served as the emcee and introduced each of the new Hall of Famers. Macalester President Suzanne Rivera and Director of Athletics Donnie Brooks also spoke before the inductees gave their acceptance speeches. This year Macalester also honored longtime coach and professor Doug Bolstorff at the banquet and officially dedicated the court in Alumni Gymnasium Doug Bolstorff Court.

The M Club Hall of Fame was created in 1980 to honor the distinctive athletic achievements of individuals who have participated in Macalester athletics, in coaching or in administration, and who have brought recognition and honor to themselves, the college and the community. Candidates must be graduates of Macalester whose class graduated at least 10 years prior to selection, must possess a record of outstanding achievement in at least one sport, and must have made contributions through student, alumni, civic or professional leadership. Coaches or athletic administrators must have served on the college staff for at least five years.
