NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Macalester College women's swimming and diving team won seven individual events in a dual meet at St. Olaf Saturday afternoon. The Scots lost a close battle in the team scoring, 166-134.
First years
Emma Henry (Chesapeake, Va./Oscar Smith) and
Izzy Uhlhorn-Thornton (Mill Valley, Calif./Tamalpais) each won two individual events. Henry took first in the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.57) while also winning the 200-yard backstroke (2:12.10). Uhlhorn-Thornton was first in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:08.36 and also won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:28.57. First year
Skye Schmit (Stillwater, Minn.) placed first in the 1000-yard freestyle and also took second in the 100-yard freestyle (56.45) and the 400-yard individual medley (4:41.67).
Sophomore
Verity Wray-Raabolle (Owatonna, Minn./Bethlehem Academy) was victorious in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.07. Sophomore
Caroline Chapon (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) won the 50-yard freestyle in 25.62 and was third in the 400-yard individual medley. Runner-up finishes were turned in by senior
Grace Madigan (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) in the 50-yard freestyle and junior
Jocelyn Radke (Indianapolis, Ind.) in the 100-yard butterfly.

Kate Yehle (Madison, Wis./James Madison Memorial) in both diving events, sophomore
Eleanor Petrin (Excelsiot, Minn./Minnetonka) in the 100 breaststroke, first year
Hannah Zurn (Hudson, Wis./Hudson) in the 200-yard butterfly, first year
Nadia Lanz (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) in the 200 backstroke, sophomore
Natalie Pollock (Madison, Wis./Madison West) in the 500-yard freestyle, and Madigan in the 100-yard freestyle.
Macalester hosts Grinnell College on Saturday, Jan. 28 in the final home meet of the season. The Scots will honor their seniors before the meet.
