Macalester Hosts 31st Annual Mac Hac Golf Outing at Prestwick

WOODBURY, Minn. – The Macalester College athletics department held its fundraiser, the 31st annual Mac Hac, on Tuesday, June 7 at Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury, Minn. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Title IX, this year proceeds from the Mac Hac will go to the Beyrer Fund, an endowment which supports women's varsity athletics at Macalester.

Golfers enjoyed playing in the Mac Hac and visiting with alumni, coaches, staff and friends after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic. The first Mac Hac was started by the Scots' legendary soccer coach John Leaney in 1990.

The foursome of Kramer Lawson, Wes McFarland, Eric Woods and Zachary Youmans won the event with a score of 56. John Beecher, Blaze Beecher, Kevin Lucken and Tucker Weisman finished second with a score of 57, while Brad Aaberg, R.T. Luczak, Nick Patraw and Jackson Rhode took third with a 59.  

Other contests were held on the course for closest to the pin, longest drive, beat the pro and other events.
