ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College water polo team is ranked fifth in the latest Division III national rankings by the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA), the organization announced today. The Scots posted a 4-0 record in a limited schedule this spring.

Scott Reed, defeated Carthage College four times, including twice at Riley Pool on April 11. Junior
Annika Krueger (Emerald Hills, Calif./Sequoia) led the Scots in scoring with 17 goals and 10 assists for 27 points, while sophomore
Eleanor Michaud (Long Grove, Ill./Adlai E. Stevenson) tallied a team-best 15 assists to go with nine goals for 24 points. Sophomore
Sydney Hollingsworth (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) also had strong performances, totaling 16 goals in the four matches.
The goalie tandem of junior
Honor Kalala (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair) and first year
Laurel O'Hare (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) was solid, allowing under seven goals per game while the offense generated 16.5 goals per contest.
The lone senior on this year's squad is
Adeline Steward-Nolan (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park and River Forest), who ranked third on the team with 12 goals. Â
