Macalester started the second half with a basket by junior guard Gabriel Ramos (Dorado, Puerto Rico/Tasis Dorado) and a three from Henningfield to pull to within two, 37-35. But the Auggies tallied the next 12 points in a 15-2 run to make the score 52-37 with 13 minutes remaining. A three-pointer by McFarland and two points apiece from Henningfield and Anderson cut the deficit to eight before Augsburg scored eight straight points to lead 60-44 with 8:51 to play. The lead grew to as many as 19 points, and the Scots never came closer than 10 points the rest of the way.
