ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College volleyball team earned a four-set victory over visiting Crown College, 25-18, 18-25, 25-13, 25-21 Saturday afternoon in the Leonard Center. The Scots improve to 2-9 on the season, while the Storm falls to 2-6.

Zoe Lowe (Longmont, Colo./Longmont) each had four kills in the set. With Macalester clinging to an 18-17 edge late in the fourth set, the Scots scored three straight points for a 21-17 advantage. That would prove to be enough separation, as Macalester held on to win the set and match, 25-21. First year outside hitter
Eliza King (Novato, Calif./San Marin) and senior middle hitter
Ashley Helfinstein (Sunnyvale, Calif./Homestead) tallied five and four kills in the set, respectively.
