NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Macalester College men's soccer team played Carleton to a 1-1 draw in double overtime Sunday afternoon at Bell Field. The result gives the Scots a 5-3-4 record overall, including a 3-1-1 mark in conference play. The Knights are now 8-1-1, 2-0-1 MIAC.

Max Starks (Green Bay, Wis./Preble) scored his second goal of the season off assists from sophomore defender
Quinn Frankovsky (Boulder, Colo./Boulder) and sophomore midfielder
Jack Muller (Carmel, Ind./Carmel). Carleton pulled even early in the second half with a goal by Marco da Cunha in the 55th minute. Neither team was able to score for the remainder of regulation or through two 10-minute overtime periods.

Cade Fink (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) registered two saves for Macalester, while Aaron Foreman had three saves for Carleton.
Next up for the Scots is another MIAC contest against Concordia on Friday, Oct. 11. The home game starts at 7:30 p.m. at Macalester Stadium. The Scots will honor their seniors before the game.
