Box Score NORTHFIELD, Minn.- The Macalester College women's lost to Carleton College away. The game ended in favor of the Knights 4-1.
The first half was a close match with both teams finding shots on goal. The Knights were the first to get on the scoreboard in the 20th minute. Sophomore keeper
Kate Lawhead (Battle Ground, Wash./Prairie) made four saves to keep the Scots in the game, being out shot 13-5 by the end of the half.
The Knights slotted two more goals past Lawhead in the 56th and the 63rd minutes in the second half.
Macalester pulled one back in the 69th minute as
Alice Bieda (Downers Grove, Ill./ Downers Grove North) the ball out side of the the box and lofted it over the Carleton keeper.
But the Scots could not make a comeback and lost 4-1.
The Scots will return home Tuesday., Sept. 23, to face Concordia College at 4:30 p.m. in St. Paul, Minn.
