MONMOUTH, Ill. – The Macalester College water polo team remained unbeaten in CWPA matches with victories over Monmouth College and Washington & Jefferson Saturday at Monmouth College. The Scots improve to 10-4 overall and 6-0 in conference play.

The Scots led 6-4 early in the fourth quarter when Monmouth tallied three consecutive goals for a 7-6 edge with just under two minutes remaining. Time was winding down when sophomore
Oriana Galasso (Gresham, Ore./Central Catholic) tied the game with 11 seconds on the clock, sending the game to overtime. With the game still tied at 9-9 after two overtime periods, sophomore
Cara Mullery (Palmetto Bay, Fla./MAST Academy) scored in the third overtime to give Macalester a 10-9 win.
