ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College volleyball team defeated Martin Luther College, 25-10, 25-21, 25-15 in a non-conference match Wednesday night in the Leonard Center. The win snaps a four-match losing streak for the Scots, who are now 8-11 overall. The Knights fall to 5-16 with the loss.

Macalester took advantage of 12 Martin Luther attack errors and three kills from sophomore middle hitter Sofia Parmelee (Tenafly, N.J./Tenafly) to cruise in the first set, 25-10. In the second set, the Scots trailed 16-14 before outscoring the Knights 11-5 the rest of the way. Senior outside hitter Nicole Bennington (Shelton, Wash./Olympia) and sophomore middle hitter Kendall Ford (Seattle, Wash./The Northwest School) each had three kills in the set.
