ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The Macalester College men's basketball team lost a MIAC game at Bethel University, 113-64 Monday evening at Robertson Center Gym. The Scots are now 2-15 overall and 1-11 in conference play, while the Royals improve to 13-4, 8-4 MIAC.
Bethel took control of the game with a 24-2 run over a six-minute span in the first half. The Royals shot 57.1 percent from the field in the first half while holding the Scots to 25.7 percent in building a 67-23 lead at the half. Macalester wasn't able to gain any ground on Bethel in the second half, as the Scots dropped their third consecutive MIAC contest.

Jackson Henningfield (Lake Mary, Fla./Lyman) led Macalester with 13 points and six rebounds, while first year guard
Aidan Toner-Rodgers (Sebastopol, Calif./Analy) added 12 points. First year guard
Gabriel Ramos (Dorado, Puerto Rico/Tasis Dorado) scored eight points, and sophomore forward
Ian Joseph (Alpharetta, Ga./Johns Creek) grabbed five rebounds. Riley Dearing tallied 19 points to pace the Royals.
Next up for the Scots is a conference game at Concordia College on Saturday, Jan. 27, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Moorhead, Minn.
