NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Macalester College water polo team played three matches at the CWPA Regional Tournament on Saturday, defeating host Connecticut College and Grove City College before falling to Carthage. The results give the Scots an 8-6 record overall and a 3-2 mark through two days of the regional tournament.
Macalester erased an early 2-1 deficit to Connecticut College with six consecutive goals en route to a 12-4 victory. Sophomore
Lucille Moran (Ann Arbor, Mich./Huron) scored all five of her goals in the first half, while first year
Oriana Galasso (Gresham, Ore.) tallied four of her five goals in the second half. Sophomore

In an 11-5 win over Grove City, Macalester jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the first half, then put the game out of reach with five goals in the third quarter. Moran and Mullery had four goals apiece, with Galasso scoring twice and first year

Against Carthage, the Scots used goals by Mullery and Moran to take a 5-4 lead midway through the second quarter. After Carthage scored twice, junior
