MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Macalester College volleyball team played two non-conference matches at the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Saturday, losing to the host Raiders in three sets before beating Maranatha Baptist in four sets. The day's results give the Scots a 5-7 record on the season.
Against MSOE, Macalester fell in straight sets by scores of 25-18, 25-13, 25-22. Junior outside hitter
India Medaris (Napa, Calif./Justin Siena) had a team-best eight kills, and senior middle hitter
Caitlyn O'Neil (Carmichael, Calif./Rio Americano) added six kills. Senior libero
Hoai-Nam Bui (McLean, Va./Langley) registered 18 digs to pace the defense.
The Scots rebounded nicely in the second match, defeating Maranatha Baptist, 20-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-19. Medaris again led the way with 18 kills, three blocks and a .382 hitting percentage. O'Neil contributed nine kills and five total blocks while hitting .438, with junior outside hitter

Macalester continues MIAC play with a league match at Saint Benedict on Wednesday, Sept. 21. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. in St. Joseph, Minn.
