ST. PAUL, Minn. – Macalester College's Riley Pool will serve as host of nine collegiate water polo matches this Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 27-28. The Scots will play four matches, with Monmouth College, Caltech and Carthage College also participating.
The action gets underway on Saturday at 9:00 a.m., with Macalester facing Monmouth. The Scots' second match of the day is against Carthage at 3:30 p.m. On Sunday, Macalester faces Monmouth at 9:00 a.m. and Caltech at 1:00 p.m.

Scott Reed, who begins his first season in St. Paul following 16 years at George Washington University as the men's and women's water polo coach. His women's teams won 173 games in 15 seasons, highlighted by an 18-win campaign in 2003 in which Reed was chosen the Collegiate Water Polo Association Southern Division Coach of the Year.
Reed takes over at Macalester following a fifth-place finish at the CWPA Division III Championships in 2015. This year the Scots are ranked third in the first CWPA Division III Top Five Poll behind No. 1 Washington & Jefferson and No. 2 Carthage. Prior to Sunday's 1:00 p.m. game against Caltech, Macalester will honor its three seniors:
Elizabeth Harte (Moorpark, Calif./Moorpark),
Zexin Nai (Singapore/HWA Chong) and
Emma Swanson (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ypsilanti).
