ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College volleyball team competed in its final day of action at the ACM Invitational, defeating both Lawrence University and Grinnell College to keep a seven game winning streak alive.

The Scots fell in set one to Lawrence, 25-21 before battling back to win sets two and three (25-12 and 25-14). The Vikings took set four, 27-25 before Macalester closed out the match with a 16-14 fifth set win.

Four Scots collected double-digit kill totals as
Brooke Hunter (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) led the way with 17;
India Medaris (Napa, Calif./Justin Siena) added 14 kills and
Regan Fruh (Helena, Mont./Helena) and
Clara Baumann (Wausau, Wis./Wausau East) each had 12.

Arianna Hesterberg (Kenmore, Wash./Inglemoor) dished out 39 assists;
Kasey McMaster (Oak Ridge, Tenn./Oak Ridge) added 13.

Cora Trout (Columbia, Mo./Rock Bridge),
Clara Baumann and
Hoai-Nam Bui (McLean, Va./Langley) each hit double-digit dig totals. Trout finished with 20, Baumann and Bui each with 14.

Macalester swept Grinnell College in straight sets in Sunday's second match with set scores of 25-22, 25-16 and 27-25.

The Scots recorded 44 kills to Grinnell's 29.
Clara Baumann led the way with 13 kills and 17 digs, her second double-double of the day. Trout had a team-high 27 digs.

Hesterberg dished out 33 assists, connected on three service aces and had 13 digs.

Macalester went 4-0 at the ACM Invitational. The Scots have won seven straight matches and are now 10-1 overall this season.

They will return to action on Sept. 16 as they kick off Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference competition in Moorhead, Minn. versus Concordia College. Â
