Women’s Soccer: Macalester Starts New Season with Scoreless Tie at UW-Stout

MENOMONIE, Minn. – The Macalester College women's soccer team began the 2015 campaign with a 0-0 tie at Wisconsin-Stout Tuesday night at Nelson Field.

The Scots out-shot the Blue Devils, 14-5 but were unable to get one past goalkeeper Paige Meyer. Junior midfielder Rae Hohle (Aurora, Ill./Illinois Math & Science Academy) led Macalester with four shots, while senior forward Lydia Chodosh (Los Angeles, Calif./Culver City) took three shots. Sophomore goalkeeper Rachel Wilson-King (Tucson, Ariz./St. Gregory College Prep) recorded her first collegiate shutout, making one save.

Macalester hosts UW-Stevens Point on Saturday, Sept. 5 in the first home contest of the season. The game is set to start at 4:30 p.m. at Macalester Stadium.
