WHITTIER, Calif. --Â Macalester lost its final game of its eight-game road trip to California as Whittier upended the Scots, 10-2.
The Poets took a 3-0 lead before
Hannah Gray's goal got the Scots on the scoreboard midweay through the first quarter and the team's would go scoreless over the final four minutes, four seconds of the opening frame.
Whitter scored the only two goals of the second quarter and added another 1:12 into the third quarter before
Adrienne Burgin scored Macalester's final goal of the game. The Poets then scored three times in the fourth quarter to finish the scoring.
Anya Phillips made seven saves in the game for the visitors.
Macalester will off on Thursday before taking part in the CWPA West Round Robin Tournament, hosted by Monmouth. The Scots are slated to play seven games in three days at the event.
