MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Concordia-Moorhead Cobbers shot 48% in the second half and scored 13 second chance points to defeat Macalester on their home court Saturday afternoon, 62-44.
Macalester falls to 3-16 overall and 0-12 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play. Concordia improves to 11-8 overall and 7-5 in conference action.
Down by just seven at the half (27-20), the Cobbers jumped out to a 6-0 run to start the second half and extend the lead to 11. Concordia's largest lead of 22 came at the 5:33 mark in the second half.
Freshman guard
Vivi Gregorich who finished with 10 points and two steals led Macalester.
Lauren Clamage added eight points and four rebounds.
Erin Januschka led the Cobbers with 14 points on six of eight shooting and a game-high seven rebounds.
Macalester will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 4 as they travel to Minneapolis, Minn. to take on Augsburg at 7 p.m.
