WINONA, Minn. – The Macalester College volleyball team traveled to Winona, Minn. to take on Saint Mary's University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Saturday match-up this afternoon. The Scots fell to the Cardinals in three straight sets (25-20, 25-16 and 25-12).
Macalester drops to 7-10 this season and 0-3 in the MIAC. Saint Mary's improves to 11-5 overall and 2-1 in conference play (with their lone conference loss coming to #17 St. Thomas).
Lynn Zemaitis led the Scots offensively with six kills in the match and a .313 attack percentage.
Brooke Hunter added four kills for the Scots.
Samantha Bongiorno had a team-high ten assists and two service aces.

Cora Trout led the way defensively with 11 digs.
The Scots will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 1 as they continue conference play in Arden Hills, Minn. and take on Bethel University at 7 p.m. Bethel holds a 12-5 record this season and are now 2-1 in conference play after defeating Concordia College this Saturday afternoon.
