Box Score ST. PAUL, Minn. -- It was a record-setting night for Augsburg's Olivia Muyres, and it paid off in a 2-1 Auggie victory over Macalester.
Muyres' two goals tied Augsburg's career record of 38 and she became the first Auggie to top the 100-point mark for her career, collecting her 102nd point.
Those efforts overshadowed Macalester's
Kelsey Porter, whose first career goal, in the 37th minute, tied the game at 1-1 before halftime.
After an even first half, in which both teams record four shots, Augsburg began to control the game, spending the majority of the final 45 minutes in the Scots' half of the field while holding an 8-5 advantage in shots.
The loss drops Macalester to 1-1-1 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play and 4-3-1 overall. Augsburg, meanwhile, holds onto a share of first place in the conference with a 3-0-0 record and a 7-2-0 overall mark.
The Scots return to action Wednesday night when they host MIAC foe Saint Benedict in a 7:30 p.m. game at Macalester Stadium.
