Box Score ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Macalester fell behind by two goals but managed to come from behind to earn a 2-2 draw at Hamline and remain unbeaten, at 1-0-1, in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.
The Pipers scored on two of their first three shots in the game before the Scots finally got on the scoreboard.
Hamline goalkeeper Erin Urbanowicz was issued a red card for a foul in the box in the 34th minute and
Lily Jilk connected for her second penalty-kick goal in as many games.
Coming out of the halftime trailing by a goal, Macalester made up the difference just 56 seconds into the second half when
Rae Hohle scored her third goal of the season.
The Scots, after getting outshot, 4-3, in the first half, had a 9-3 advantage in the second half and a 15-9 advantage for the game. Hohle and
Hannah Walker each had three shots.
Emma Toomer made four saves for Macalester as Hamline had a slight edge, 6-5, in shots on goal.
Tuesday, the Scots return to action in a non-conference contest when they host UW-Stout. Opening kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
