Box Score 2 Macalester extended its winning streak to six games since returning from Spring Break by picking up an MIAC sweep at Augsburg, winning the opener 1-0 and taking the nightcap 8-6.  The Scots extend their record to 14-6 overall and 4-0 in conference play.
Brittany Ehmann (Jr., Island Lake, Ill. / Wauconda) pitched Macalester to its 1-0 victory in the opener, giving up just three hits and no walks in her seven-inning complete game gem.  She struck out seven and brings her record on the season to 9-2 with a 2.07 ERA.
The only run of the game was tallied in the Macalester fourth when Ehmann led off with a single, went to second on a wild pitch, and scored on a
Hali Englert (Jr., Castle Rock, Colo. / Castle View) RBI double.
The bats heated up in game two, with the teams combining for 17 hits.  With Augsburg on top 6-3 going into the top of the sixth inning, the Scots came alive for four decisive runs.
Erin Slater (Jr., Federal Way, Wash. / Decatur) and
Anna Munson (Jr., La Crosse, Wis. / Central) each singled in a pair of runs.  One inning earlier,
Saraswati Wilson (Jr., Olathe, Kan. / Northwest) belted her second home run of the season.
Collected a couple hits each in the game were Slater,
Cleo Nagy (Sr., Eugene, Ore. / Henry D. Sheldon) and
Abby Cox (So., Fort Worth, Tex. / Fort Worth Country Day).
Macalester looks to keep its streak going tomorrow (April 6) when it hosts Carleton at 1 p.m.  The game will be played on the Macalester Stadium Field because of the wet conditions of the regular Macalester field.
