The Scots even their record at 10-10 and are off to a 2-0 start in conference play.
Two-time All-MIAC center fielder
Cleo Nagy (Jr., Eugene, Ore. / Henry D. Sheldon) belted a two run homer in the top of the first inning to get the day off to a good start. The Auggies responded with single runs in the first and second frames and that was all the scoring until the Macalester seventh.
Erin Slater (So., Federal Way, Wash. / Decatur) doubled,
Courtney Nussbaumer (Sr., Brookfield, Wis. / East) walked, and
Saraswati Wilson (So., Olathe, Kan. / Northwest) belted a three-run shot over the center field fence for her first career home run and a 5-2 Mac lead.
Alisha Barritt (Jr., Oklahoma City, Okla. / Bethany) pitched the first six inning and boosted her record to 4-5.
Brittany Ehmann (So., Island Lake, Ill. / Wauconda) worked the seventh inning to collect the save.
Ehmann started game two as the Scots continued their strong pitching. She pitched the first two innings and
Miranda Stokes (So., Perry, Utah / Box Elder) tossed five standout relief frames, giving up just one hit. She allowed only one base runner. The Scots scored the only run it needed on Stokes' team-leading fourth home run in the fourth.
