St. Benedict broke a 5-5 by scoring the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning and then went on to secure the sweep by taking the nightcap 4-1 late Sunday night at the Irish Sports Dome in Rosemount.
The Scots drop to 11-17 on the campaign and 3-7 in MIAC play, while the Blazers improve to 17-11 overall, 6-6 in the MIAC.
Miranda Stokes (So., Perry, Utah / Box Elder) slammed her sixth and seventh home runs of the season to lead the way for the Scots in the opener. A three-run Stokes blast put Macalester up 3-0 in the top of the first inning and a solo shot in the fifth tied the score at 5-5. Stokes had three hits on the game, while adding two apiece were

St. Ben's took charge of the second game with a couple runs scored in the opening frame and held Mac to a run on six hits.
Anna Munson (So., La Crosse, Wis. / Central) went 2-for-4 with a home run.
