Bethel led 4-2 in the opening contest before putting things away with five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.  Macalester's Alisha Barritt (Jr., Oklahoma City, Okla. / Bethany) went 2-for-2 2 and Abby Cox (Fy., Fort Worth, Tex. / Fort Worth Country Day)drove in both her team's runs with her first career home run in the fifth.

Macalester played better in the nightcap and led 3-2 on a solo Brittany Ehmann (So., Island Lake, Ill. / Wauconda) homer in the second and two-run shot by Saraswati Wilson (So., Olathe, Neb. / Northwest) in the fifth.  The Royals responded to Wilson's homer by scoring seven times in the bottom of the fifth frame to go up 8-3.  Mac made it 8-6 with three six inning runs, but could get no closer.  Wilson was 3-for-4 with three RBI on the game to boost her team-leading batting average to .430.  Adding two hits apiece were Ehmann, Cox and Hali Englert (So., Castle Rock, Colo. / Castle View).
