The Scots won four of their 10 games held at the National Training Center in Clermont, Florida, over Spring Break (March 17-22) and return home with an 8-8 record on the season. Macalester gained wins over Oswego State (N.Y.), New England College (N.H.), Framingham State (Mass.) and New Paltz State (N.Y.).
Hali Englert (So., Castle Rock, Colo. / Castle View) batted .500 and also led the team in slugging percentage (.600) and on-base percentage (.577).
Saraswati Wilson (So., Olathe, Kan. / Olathe Northwest) was 15-for-35 for a .429 batting mark, while leading the team with seven runs scored from her leadoff position.
Alisha Barritt (So., Oklahoma City, Okla. / Bethany) hit .333,
Miranda Stokes (So., Perry, Utah / Box Elder) hit .300 and
Cleo Nagy (Jr., Eugene, Ore. / Henry D. Sheldon) led the team with seven runs driven in.
Stokes was 2-0 in the ciricle with a 2.40 ERA and
Brittany Ehmann (So., Island Lake, Ill. / Wauconda) posted a 3.41 ERA with 17 strikeouts.
Macalester plays Wisconsin-Stout Friday (March 29) at 5 p.m. at the West St. Paul Dome.

* Macalester got the trip off to an excelent start, gaining decisive wins over Oswesgo and New England.
Saraswati Wilson went 3-for-4 from her leadoff spot against Oswego and
Alisha Barritt gained the win on a four-hitter.
Anna Munson drove in three runs in the New England game and three teammates collected a couple hits.

* After having its six-game win streak snapped earlier in the day by Western New England, the Scots bounced right back to topple Framingham State to improve to 7-2 on the season. Down 3-2 going into the bottom of the fourth inning, Macalester took over with three runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth.

Courtney Nussbaumer and
Hali Englert each contributed a couple hits for the Scots, with Englert driving in three, and
Brittany Ehmann pitched all seven frames to pick up the win.
