Macalester netted single goals in each half and posted its second straight MIAC shutout, beating Bethel 2-0 Saturday afternoon at home.  With three wins in four games, the Scots improve to 5-3-1 overall and 3-2 in conference play.  The Royals drop to 3-7 overall, 1-4 in the MIAC.

Ingrid Greene (Jr., Madison, Wis. / Memorial) closed out a long run through the BU defense to put Macalester on top 1-0 at 20:54 and that's where the score stood until Georgia Cloepfil (Sr., Portland, Ore. / Lincoln) beat Bethel on a penalty kick at 65:33 for a 2-0 advantage.  For Greene, it was her first score of the season, and for Cloepfil, it was her team-leading seventh.

The Scots out-shot the Royals 24-4, including 12-1 in tries on net.  Mac led 7-6 in corner kicks on Kick Cancer Day.

Mac goes for its third straight win Wednesday (Oct. 9) when to travels to Waverly, Iowa, to take on Wartburg.
