Georgia Cloepfil (Sr., Portland, Ore. / Lincoln), last year's MIAC goal-scoring champ and this year's current MIAC co-leader in goals, scored in each half to lead Macalester to a 2-0 MIAC victory over Gustavus Adolphus Saturday afternoon in St. Paul. Macalester's increases its winning streak to six and conference win streak to five, and goes to 9-3-1 overall, 6-2 in the MIAC. The Scots move to within a single point on league-leading Concordia. Gustavus drops to 6-7 on the season and 2-6 in league play.
Cloepfil now has 32 career goals at Macalester, seventh-best on the school's all-time list in women's soccer. She opened the scoring with her 11th of the year in the 25th minute. Less than three minutes into the second half, Cloepfil scored from 20 yards out for her 12th of the campaign.

Ingrid Greene(Jr., Madison, Wis. / Memorial) assisted on Cloepfil's first score.
Macalester out-shot the visiting Gusties 28-5, including 11-1 in shots on goal. Cloepfil accounted for six of her team's 11 tries on net. The Scots registered their fifth shutout of the campaign as goalkeeper
Ellen Palmquist was asked to made just one save.
The Scots look to keep their roll going on Wednesday (Oct. 23) when they host Luther (Ia.) for a non-conference match at 4:30 p.m. After that, it's three straight conference matches to close out the regular-season.
