Box Score Macalester vs. Bethel statistics

Bethel beat Macalester for the first time in its program history, scoring goals in each half to topple the Scots 2-0 in Arden Hills.  The Royals move into second place in the MIAC standings at 3-1-1, while the Scots drop to 2-2-1 in the conference (5-4-1 overall).  The Royals had 10 shots on goal, compared to four for Macalester.

Each team had 13 total shot attempts and four corner kicks.  Macalester registered eight goalkeeper saves and the Royals had five.

The Scots challenge MIAC-leading Concordia-Moorhead on Wednesday (Oct. 3) at home at 5:30 p.m. This begins a string of five straight home matches for Macalester, which won't play on the road again until Oct. 24.
