After scoring nine goals in their previous two matches, both MIAC wins, the Scots were kept off the scoreboard for 110 minutes by the Carleton Knights in Northfield. However, another sturdy defensive effort allowed Macalester to come away with a point in the league standings and a 0-0 deadlock.
Macalester is now 5-3-1 on the season with its first tie of the year, and 1-1-1 in the MIAC. Carleton is 5-3-2 overall, 1-2-2 in the MIAC.
Each team's goalkeeper turned away five attempts on net in this evenly-played match. The Scots out-shot Carleton 18-12 and led 6-4 in corner kicks. Five different players each contributed one shot on goal for the Scots. Mac keeper

Macalester plays its third straight MIAC road match Saturday (Sept. 29) when it plays at Bethel at 1 p.m. The Scots then begin a string of five straight home matches.
