Gustavus Adolphus extended its perfect MIAC record to 10-0 by beating the Scots twice in St. Peter, winning the opener 9-1 and following that up with a 9-0 victory in game two.  The Gusties are 12-1 over their past 13 games and 17-6 on the season, while Macalester drops to 14-12 overall, 3-7 in MIAC action.

The Scots stayed close in the first game until the Gusties put things away with five fifth-inning runs.  Mac's run came in the top of the second inning when Hali Englert (Fy., Castle Rock, Colo. / Castle View) singled and scored on a Brittany Ehmann (Fy., Island Lake, Ill. / Wauconda) single to right center.  Ehmann went 2-for-4 on the day.

Gustavus tallied six runs in the second inning in game two to go up 8-0.  

Mac is back in action Saturday (April 14) when it plays a pair of MIAC games at Hamline.
