After a scoreless opening half, Macalester picked up second half goals from Robin Forslund (Jr., Madison, Wis. / Memorial), Wilson Craine (Sr., Waunakee, Wis. / Middleton) and Taylor Rasmussen (Sr., Eagan, Minn. / Eastview) to topple St. Norbert (Wis.) in St. Paul.  The Scots controlled the attack most of the way, playing to a 7-1 advantage in shots on goal and 13-4 margin in total shots.

The Scots bounce back from an overtime defeat to Concordia-Moorhead and wrap up their five-game home stand at 3-2.  They're 3-8-1 on the season.

Jesse Yourish (Sr., Port Townsend, Wash.) picked up a rare goalkeeper assist when his long ball reached a breaking Forslund, who beat his defender and the St. Norbert keeper for his second tally of the season at 51:53.  In the 73rd minute, Macalester went up 2-0 when defender Craine netted his first career goal of a set piece on a Cole Erickson (So., Bloomington, Minn. / Jefferson) pass.

Two-time MIAC goal-scoring champ Rasmussen returned to the lineup late in the first half for his first action since Sept. 8 and wasted little time in scoring his 33rd career goal at Macalester, scoring in the 84th minute off a double assist from Forslund and Chris Kartheiser (Jr., Shorewood, Wis.).

In addition to assisting on his team's first goal, Yourish posted his third shutout of the campaign.

Macalester plays its next four matches on the road, starting with an MIAC contest Wednesday (Oct. 10) at first-place St. Thomas.  The Scots will go into the match at 2-3 in the league, while UST is 5-0.
