Box Score
St. Olaf scored the game's only goal at the 76:50 mark to beat the Scots in an MIAC contest at Macalester Stadium. The Scots out-shot the Oles 17-4, including 6-3 in tries on net, but fall to 7-6-1 on the season and 3-4-1 on the conference. St. Olaf goes to 6-5-3 and moves into a second-place tie in the balanced MIAC standings at 4-2-1. This is St. Olaf's first win over the Scots at Macalester Stadium since 1988.
Each team played well going into a southerly wind, the Scots in the first half and the Oles in the second period. The only goal came on a high shot just under the crossbar from 15-yards out.
The Scots had five different players register shots on goal, with leading scorer
Georgia Cloepfil (Jr., Portland, Ore. / Lincoln) collecting two.
To stay alive in the MIAC post-season chase, the Scots need to go on a winning streak. They are off until next Saturday (Oct. 20) when they host St. Catherine at 7 p.m. on Senior Night.
