Box Score Macalester vs. Concordia statistics
Concordia gained a 25-19 win in the opening set and went on to sweep Macalester 3-0 Wednesday night in Moorhead. The Cobbers hit .392 and spiked 45 kills while holding on to third place in the conference standings at 5-2.
Glasha Marcon (Sr., Richmond, Calif. / Albany) led the Mac defense with 11 digs, boosting her career total to 955.
Laura Avena (Jr., Cesis, Latvia / Riga Gimnasium #1) contributed nine kills and eight digs, while adding five kills each were
Kate Hehre (So., Minneapolis, Minn. / Southwest) and
Hannah Rehak (So., Chicago, Ill. / Walter Payton Prep). Avena passes the 800 mark in career kills at Macalester and now has 803.
Anna Munson (So., La Crosse, Wis. / Central) handed out 13 assists and
Kasey McMaster (Fy., Oak Ridge, Tenn.) had eight.
Olivia Wagensteen led Concordia with 11 kills and Danelle Loomis had 24 digs.
The Scots, 7-15 overall and 0-6 in the MIAC, go for their first conference win when they travel to Augsburg Friday (Oct. 12).
