Macalester split a double dual against MIAC opponents at St. Catherine University, beating Augsburg 169-28 and falling to St. Kate's 113-102. The Scots swam and dove to six first-place finishes on the night.
The Scots closed out the meet by winning the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:45.99 behind the swims of
Grace Fleming (Sr., Northampton, Mass.),
Alese Halvorson (Fy., Maple Grove, Minn. / Wayzata),
Suzanne Oh (Jr., Waukesha, Wis.) and
Karoline Hart (Sr., Rexford, N.Y. / Niskayuna).
Renee Jordan (So., Anchorage, Alaska / Steller Secondary School) won 3-meter diving (273.75) over MIAC Diver of the Year Sarah Moody by 0.80 and also contributed a first-place swim in the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.66).
Clare Pillsbury (Sr., Baraboo, Wis.) won the 500 freestyle (5:30.30), Fleming took first in the 200 free (2:03.73), and Hart placed first in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.71).
The Scots are back in the pool tomorrow when they host Midwest Conference power Grinnell (Ia.) on Senior Day at 12 noon.
