Macalester vs. Wartburg statistics

Macalester hosted No. 10-ranked Wartburg (Ia.) on a windy night at home and came out on the short end of a 1-0 score as the Knights netted the game's only goal in the 29th minute.

Wartburg, ranked among the top teams in the recent National Soccer Coaches Association of America, advances to 5-0-1 and Macalester falls to 4-2-1.

The Knights attacked for seven shots on goal, compared to just one for the Scots, but were stopped six times by Rosie Glenn-Finer (Jr., San Francisco, Calif. / Lick Wilmerding). Glenn-Finer has sacrificed only three goals through the season's first seven games in goal.

The Scots are 1-0-1 in the MIAC and return to league play Friday (Sept. 23) when they host Hamline at 7:30 p.m.
