Macalester vs. St. Catherine box scores: Game 1 | Game 2

St. Catherine pitchers dominated both games as the Wildcats picked up 3-0 and 8-0 shutouts over visiting Macalester.

The Scots were only out-hit 6-5 in the opening game, but St. Kate's had timely run-scoring hits in the first and fifth innings for the first of its two pitching gems.

Courtney Nussbaumer (So., Brookfield, Wis. / East) went 2-for-2 in the nightcap and finished the day with three hits in five at-bats. Katie Fuller (Boulder, Colo.) had a double in game one, while pitcher Meghan Merriman (Fy., Warroad, Minn.) gave up just six hits.

Macalester looks to turn its slump around when it plays host to Concordia-Moorhead for an MIAC doubleheader Saturday (April 25) at 2 p.m.
