Complete Macalester vs. St. Mary's results
Macalester had its first home meet of the 2011-12 season, hosting St. Mary's in an MIAC dual, and earned a 140-80 victory over the Cardinals.
The Scots picked up first-place finishes in all events. Multiple-event winners were
Renee Jordan (So., Anchorage, Alaska / Steller Secondary School) won the 50 freestyle (26.15) and 1-meter diving (231.35);
Clare Pillsbury (Sr., Baraboo, Wis.) in the 100 butterfly (1:06.62 and 100 backstroke (1:08.26);
Grace Fleming (Sr., Northampton, Mass.) in the 200-yard freestyle (2:03.66) and 500 free (5:30.91); and
Karoline Hart (Sr., Rexford, N.Y. / Niskayuna) in the 100 free (55.32) and 100 breaststroke ( 1:11.48).
Also producing first-place finishes were
Becca Galey (So., Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. / Mercersburg Academy) in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:56.35) and
Alese Halvorson (Fy., Maple Grove, Minn. / Wayzata) in the 200 individual medley (2:22.58).
Macalester reached the wall first in the 200-yard medley relay (2:00.52) and 200 freestyle relay (1:58.26).
The Scots host the Roger Ahlman Invitational tomorrow, with diving set to begin at 9 a.m. and swimming getting underway at 1 p.m. Participating teams, in addition to Macalester, are Augsburg, Concordia-Moorhead, Hamline, St. Catherine, St. Mary's, St. Olaf (divers only) and St. Thomas.
