Macalester has made it to the MIAC women's soccer playoffs for the eighth time in the nine-year history of the event and as the No. 4 seed plays a semi-final match today at No. 1 College of St. Benedict.  The match in St. Joseph gets underway at 2 p.m.

St. Ben's finished as the MIAC co-champs at 8-2-1 (11-6-1 overall) and the Scots finished in fourth at 7-3-1 (11-6-1 overall).  Macalester topped the Blazers 1-0 in double overtime for one of its eight conference shutouts when these two teams met in September in St. Joseph.

Tickets for Tuesday's match are $7 for adults and $3 for students.

Today's other semi-final match is Concordia (7-1-3) at co-champ Carleton (8-2-1).  The finals are set for Saturday (Nov. 5), with the winner advancing to the NCAA Division III playoffs.
