Macalester vs. St. Olaf statistics

St. Olaf scored early in the match and went on hand Macalester a 1-0 defeat in Northfield, delivery a blow to Mac's post-season chances as the Scots fall to 4-3-1 in the MIAC.

The game's only goal was provided by St. Olaf's Lindsay Howard, who put in her ninth of the season at the 6:33 mark on a Susie Jelinek assist.

Macalester suffers its third straight one-goal setback and is now 8-6-1 on the season.  The Oles snap a four-game winless streak and are now 9-2-3 overall, 5-1-2 in the MIAC.  St. Olaf is ranked No. 3 in the North Region, behind only Iowa teams Wartburg and Loras.

Mac goalkeeper Rosie Glenn-Finer (Jr., San Francisco, Calif. / Lick Wilmerding) turned away five St. Olaf shots on net, but the Scots could not overcome a 6-3 Ole advantage in shots on net.

The Scots have no more regular-season road matches.  Their next three matches are at home, starting with an MIAC contest next Thursday (Oct. 20) against Bethel at 7:30 p.m.
