Macalester vs. Concordia results | Macalester vs. Augsburg results

Macalester hosted a doulbe-dual meet Friday night at Riley Pool and came away with a split. The Scots beat Augsburg 142-21 and lost to Concordia-Moorhead 128-105.

The Scots produced first-place finishes against both Concordia and Augsburg in seven events.

In swimming events, Kiersten Yeazel (Sr., Shorewood, Wis.) won the 100-yard butterfly (1:06.48), Karoline Hart (Jr., Rexford, N.Y. / Niskayuna) won the 50 freestyle (26.20) and Grace Fleming (Jr., Northampton, Mass.) took the top spot in the 200 free (2:04.02). Teammate Renee Jordan (Fy., Anchorage, Ak. / Steller Secondary School) turned in the top scores in the 1-meter diving competition (231.35).

Macalester claimed wins in both relays, starting the meet by taking the 200-yard medley relay (1:59.89) and holding on by 0.02 seconds in the 400 freestyle relay (3:58.24) in the night's final event. 200 medley relay members were Claire Eder (Sr., Evanston, Ill. / Evanston Township), Hart, Yeazel and Suzanne Oh (So., Waukesha, Wis.). Winning the 400 free relay were Oh, Fleming, Yeazel and Hart.

The Scots return to competition tomorrow when they host Grinnell (Ia.) at 12 noon.
