Macalester vs. Carleton statistics
In a rematch of last year's MIAC playoff finals, Carleton made it two in a row against the Scots, scoring a pair of goals in each half to beat Macalester 4-0 in Northfield. Four different players scored for the Knights, who move up to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the MIAC with their third straight shutout. The Scots drop to 5-4 on the season, 1-2 in the conference.
Each team's goalkeepers registered five saves, but the Knights controlled the attack and finished with a 28-8 shot advantage (9-5 in shots on goal). Macalester had a 9-8 lead in corner kicks, but could not convert on any.
Carleton received goals from Leigh-Anne Borkowski, Niki Tomita, Marlena Hartman-Filson and Liz Arakaki, the first two coming in the first 3:10 of the match.
Looking to get back to the .500 level in the MIAC, the Scots take on Bethel Friday afternoon in Arden Hills.
