Matea Wasend (Jr., Denver, Colo. / George Washington) sent the match into overtime with a goal in the final minute of regulation play, and Georgia Cloepfil (Fy., Portland, Ore. / Lincoln) netted the game-winner in OT for her first collegiate goal, as Macalester escaped with a 3-2 MIAC victory over visiting Augsburg.

The Scots improve to 5-3 on the season and 1-1 in the MIAC, while Augsburg drops to 2-4-2 overall, 1-2 in the MIAC.

Augsburg scored its goals on a well-placed free kick in the eighth minute and on a penalty kick in the 60th minute to break a 1-1 deadlock. The match was nearly in hand for the Auggies before Wasend's goal, her second of the season, tied things up again at 89:12.

Emily Bardwell (Sr., Denver, Colo. / East) assisted on Cloepfil's overtime game-winner. Cloepfil also assisted on a Bardwell score in the 26th minute which tied the score at 1-1.

Macalester out-shot Augsburg 8-5 in shots on goal and 19-9 in total shots.

The Scots return to the field next Tuesday (Sept. 28) at Carleton.
